I was recently approached to try out a teeth whitening product by Smile Brilliant. Now a few things to keep in mind, I haven’t had my teeth professionally whitened since I was about 13 years old. My teeth are not naturally white. I was told they are naturally ivory when I was young which means they can never be stark white (to my dismay). Also be aware that I am still gradually using this product, until quite honestly I stop seeing improvements. One pen lasts 5 to 8 applications (4 ml of 22% carbamide peroxide bleaching gel) and I’ve opted for longer application times (2 1/2 hours). The results are truly brilliant. I didn’t realize how yellow my smile had really become, considering I am not a smoker or coffee drinker but after just the first application I saw a drastic difference in my smile. I would absolutely recommend this…

So I’m pretty darn sure it’s been a few years since I last shared my skincare routine (face) and to be honest it usually doesn’t change much but for some reason the last month or so I’ve been breaking out like crazy. (I’ve had pretty good skin my whole life and I’m freaking out) There is one product missing from this and that is my BodyShop Tea Tree oil. I feel like the Tea Tree oil stops the blemish in its tracks and minimizes it. While the Clean and Clear spot treatment does the deep dirty work. Both work wonderfully on my sensitive, dry skin (Although I really don’t like the smell of the Tea Tree oil). Depending on the day I switch between the Pore refining cleaner and the facial scrub. They both have their unique perks but I have to be super careful about over-drying, over-stripping my skin…

You can view an in-depth description of the products over at my article on FeedMink.com! Some of my favorite products are the multi-purpose blush, the lipgloss, gray shadows, purple shadow and the epic dry oil spray with SPF that I can use for my hair in the summer. I can’t stress the pain of getting sunburn on your scalp and worse have you ever tried putting gross sunblock on your scalp… in your hair… it just isn’t a pretty sight to see. The dry oil spray also smells fantastic. I’m loving the coral themed in pair/contrast with the eyeshadow quad. It gives a sheer natural look on the skin that can be built up to intensity by layering the blush/lipstick/gloss and applying the shadow wet. There is also some anti-aging skincare products in this line that you’ll see in a future post or two. (I’m 26 so now is the…

The average woman applies as many as 515 chemicals in her daily grooming and makeup routine which can potentially be harmful to humans, animals and the environment. Psst, nail polish is one of the worst! (Opt for a water-based version like HoneyBeeGardens) We have to remember that our skin is an organ and to protect it we must be aware of the products we are applying to it. The most obvious one, purchase less. The less of a carbon foot-print you have the better.Another pretty simple one, purchase recyclable product packaging. Check for the three arrow recycling symbolCreate home-made beauty remedy products to supplement some of the ones you use to purchase (nice on the bank too!) There are a number of benefits to this including knowing exactly what is going into your product and using your own reusable containers to cut down on disposable packaging.Opt for products from companies…

The cold winter months take a toll on your complexion. Between frigid temperatures and the lack of sunshine and fresh air, skin can become dry, pale and altogether dull. With spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to take care of your skin and brighten your complexion. Here are ten natural ways to freshen your face just in time for spring. Hydrate Drinking water is absolutely essential to having a bright and refreshed complexion, as water helps to flush toxins from the body. Drinking water will also help to keep you hydrated. How to get this look: I primed my eyes with NYX HD eyeshadow primer thin layer of white base (NYX) to really help the colors pop Coastal Scents pencil in Emerald to help the crease color pop (be careful not to put too much on especially if you have oily eyes) Applied Coastal Scents Smokey Palette color four from left top row. (Pearly lime color) I used a Kelly green in the crease and blended that up I then went back in with a darker green with a golden sheen at the crease to give it more dimension, you could use a hunter green, brown or even black depending on what you own (there are a number of options in this palette) I used white as my highlight color…

So just as I did for Valentine’s Day I am going to do a few St Patrick’s day looks. Over the last year I’ve strayed away from making makeup posts because honestly, there are just so many out there and I want CrashBeauty to me more than just about makeup because I am more than just makeup. But I miss my posts so I will be making more series for the blog in addition to other content. I will not likely do tutorials on how to do the look unless someone writes in the comment that they would like a visual tutorial. I confess I was watching Oz the great and powerful on HBO over the weekend with the boyfriend and my heart longed for the Theodora palette that I just couldn’t ever justified spending my poor college student budget on. Ultimately that was the inspiration for this look even…

So I decided today I would take a break from my excruciating projects for school (Finals of course) and figure out what in the heck I was going to wear to this concert. Normally I don’t particularly stray from what I normally do for a concert. I just dress in what is comfortable and make sure I have a pair of sneakers on with thicker soles (usually skate shoes) so the vibrations don’t kill my back so much. At the same time I’m not usually getting my photo taken (and usually when I am it is hot as hell and I try to look good and the heat doesn’t agree with my hair or makeup anyway). Seriously I am terrible at it, check it out below. Back Street Boys (not whole band) Maroon 5 JesseMcCartney So now that you’ve seen my shameful photos I thought hey, I have absolutely NO neon…

So I heard that iridescent shadows are somewhat of a trend for spring. Why not jump start the season (before the season haha) with a simple nude V-day look you can make your own?! You can really make this look as bold or as natural depending on the crease shade and the eyeliner you go with. For a more natural look, go with a smudged liner that isn’t very thick but still provides the appearance of volume. Otherwise do it up with a bold liner, here I used a brown aqua liner from Make Up For Ever but you really can use any type. Apply your eye primerChoose a nude shade that is a little lighter than your skin tone to brighten the look and make you look more awake for the lid. (If you prefer a sultrier look choose a shade deeper but remember to brighten the inner eye.…
