First let’s talk about the product that Sibu Beauty sent me complimentary. The sea buckthorn nourishing facial cream overall did exactly as its name says. It nourished my skin and better than my beloved The Body Shop products. It was light, perfect for summer weather but here is the issue I found. On their website they advertise it as a day cream but it contains no SPF though the site says it protects against sun damage. Now on the actual packaging it says nothing about exclusive day usage but the item says daytime. I am a little put off because of this issue and the price being $20.95 US without SPF at 1 fl. oz. (I’ve since noticed it is no longer listed as a day cream however, it is still listed as such in the pamphlet.) The packaging is lovely, I love the frosted look and the smell of…

Hey my fantastic and amazing readers, I have a new Etsy seller for you to check out! I’ve finally implemented the galaxy trend into my wardrobe with these fantastic earrings by Bloomy Jewelry. I’m pretty low key when it comes to clothes, I go for timeless, vintage or somewhat edgy but the galaxy tights and dresses are a bit too much for me to handle. So if you’re like me, these little bad boys get the gorgeous galaxy trend across but in a more subtle way. They are post backs so I would treat them just as any costume jewelry, don’t shower with them. The packaging was adorable for this tiny little box and I love when etsy sellers put thank you notes. I always prefer purchasing from an Etsy seller if I can because you get a more personable experience and generally fantastic customer service. Shipping was from Europe…

“In a World Like This” Tour, Boston and Portsmouth My father surprised us with a trip to see our Great-Grandmother in New Hampshire with a pit-stop in Boston, Massachusettsafter our outing at the Backstreet Boys “In a world like this” tour with Jesse McCartney.  Unfortunately I didn’t get too many awesome pictures because I had to hold my six year old sister up. (I can’t believe the girls wouldn’t let her stand in front of them so she could see but at one point a group let her and I thank those girls.) The private show by Jesse was awesome, he performed 2 songs and sang the one at my little sister (she got shy and it was too cute). Then after the concert we went to the BackStreet Boys after party and took a picture with them. It was in the same room that Jesse was in earlier, nice…

Credit: Daniel Boczarski/Getty Images North America Time for another totally random life event update! While I’m not generally one to swoon over actors or musicians there is one person who I actually have liked since I was quite young and that person is Jesse McCartney. I originally saw him on All My Children (My grandmother watched it religiously) and then when he started in DreamStreet. DreamStreet was my only boy-band craze experience I never really cared much about celebrity status. I’m generally pretty low key at concerts, though I enjoy going. Whenever I meet a celebrity I just say hi, ask a question or some other mundane assertion. Though I enjoy going with my little sister because she always says something that makes me giggle. (We have a picture of her on Adam Levine’s Lap, whom my step-mother swoons over… I’m sensing a little jealously haha). My sister Jaclyn loves…

If you’re in or around Philadelphia and looking for thrifted clothes or furniture you might not find a bigger selection than at Impact Thrift Store in Trevose, PA. The store is located right outside of Northeast Philadelphia and has 48,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Need I say more? They even have such a huge section of books that they have tables you can sit down and read at (My little sister loves it). You can find so much there and they have an amazing selection of jewelry, electronics, clothes, books and so much more. (No seriously SO MUCH haha). I just found out they actually have four separate locations in Pennsylvania. Hatboro Feasterville/Trevose Montgomeryville Norristown I can only speak for the Feasterville store but my family actually takes a trip there once a month to check their stuff out. They also have auction items that my mother occasionally bids on.…

One of four products sent to me for review by Influenster.com. The color I was sent is called Bottoms up and it is a creamy jean shade color. It looks absolutely gorgeous on the nail. The polish lasted 3 days without top coat before severe wearing. Doesn’t chip, wears off. With a top coat it lasts much longer than my average nail polish and I do some major damage on my nails with all my hands-on work. The price of this product runs at about $2.99 and there are 32 different shades. I am super pumped about this nail polish and will be picking up some more colors like banana appeal, in the limelight and who knows what other color I’ll pick up. I gave Bottoms Up to my mother because she was in love with the color. The paper I got says it is available for a limited time…

Olay Fresh Effects is one of four products sent to me for review by Influenster.com in this mini-series of reviews. This is a brightening tinted moisturizer, it smells great, must be reapplied every 2 hours?! Seriously who reapplied their moisturizer every 2 hours? Perhaps they are trying to remind you that sunblock needs to be reapplied if someone uses it as purely their sunblock. NOT A BB CREAM at least not in the sense of what the Asian brands are doesn’t hold a candle to Lioele’s Water Drop BB Cream but is a nice tinted moisturizer for all intents and purposes. Claims it is like the “Asian sensation” brands but does not improve or hide imperfections like my Lioele does. Also claims 6 skin perfecting benefits including: refreshing, brightening, even tone, hydrate, smoothing and protection. What it did do: Brighten, hydrate, protect from UV rays (for 2 hours and only…

Let me start by saying there are some brands out there that I honestly just find intimidating. Yes I love makeup but I am by no means a PRO or a makeup artist (though I have some fabulous friends that are).  MAKE UP FOR EVER was one of these brands for me. I’ve only ever looked at their products at Sephora. But now having meet the team at the King of Prussia store and seeing what Employees of MAKE UP FOR EVER are about I feel the complete opposite. They made you feel so comfortable and they really just want to teach you the brilliant ways of makeup.    I found out they have makeup lessons, and even this September they will have their very own Makeup Lesson Studio where the artists apply from behind you so that it can be filmed and you can watch it again from…

Say Hello to Philly Blog Love, a new blogging social group for those who are in or around Philadelphia. Their first ever happy hour event was hosted during Center City Sips at Sampan Restaurant on 13th Street. It was a great time we talked about blogging, Philly and tons of things in-between while enjoying Sips and some lovely bites. I got to meet a bunch of new bloggers so it was a pretty exciting event for me. I even had a nice conversation with Brittiny Stewart from FashionofPhilly and she is the new Community Affairs Director of Philly Blog Love. I spent most of my time talking with the amazing Natalie Hodak of thesecondbestblog and the lovely Mackenzie Day who writes for Trend Hungry. There are great things to come from Philly Blog Love so stay tuned for an update! LEFT TO RIGHT: Mackenzie, Jade, Natalie, Jessica, Onyx
