First let’s talk about the product that Sibu Beauty sent me complimentary. The sea buckthorn nourishing facial cream overall did exactly as its name says. It nourished my skin and better than my beloved The Body Shop products. It was light, perfect for summer weather but here is the issue I found. On their website they advertise it as a day cream but it contains no SPF though the site says it protects against sun damage. Now on the actual packaging it says nothing about exclusive day usage but the item says daytime. I am a little put off because of this issue and the price being $20.95 US without SPF at 1 fl. oz. (I’ve since noticed it is no longer listed as a day cream however, it is still listed as such in the pamphlet.)

The packaging is lovely, I love the frosted look and the smell of the product is very unique. Like a cross between citrus and berry. (Though lets be honest I’m not that great at describing smells.)

Here’s a message from the company

Omega 7 is found abundantly in the sea buckthorn berry, the key ingredient in all Sibu Beauty products, in addition to the more common Omega’s 3, 6, and 9.  All four of these are critical in providing cellular support for healthy skin, hair and nails.”

Overall I think this is a good product to use when you feel like your skin needs a little more moisturize. To be perfectly honest I actually mixed this with an SPF moisturizer and it worked perfectly well for me. I’ve used this product for a good month now and one pump practically covers my entire face. I suggest using this under you foundation if you have dry skin like I do. It’s a constant battle for me to keep my skin hydrated, and so far this summer it has worked well. I’m sure well into October it will work but I’m unsure about the winter months as it is such a light moisturizer. I will have to update you!

A few things about the company that I enjoyed

Sibu Beauty is a company with a good head on it’s shoulders so to speak and I’m very glad to see all the work they try to accomplish.
I heard they occasionally have it on hautelook and I suggest that you purchase it from there to try out just to save on some money.  It isn’t the most expensive item on the market but I am a thrifty college student so any way of saving a buck is helpful.

FINAL COMMENTS

The product is great except for costing $20.95 and has no SPF. Leaving you to have to either mix it with another product or use it under and SPF product. (Unless you rarely go out.)

It does make my skin smoother, softer and more hydrated without any issues with breakouts.
