So I was super duper excited yesterday becauseeeee I received the giveaway prize in the mail that I won 🙂 Miss B of fabugloss.blogspot.com was kind enough to host a giveaway for MAC lipsticks. (Her current giveaway: here)The two I received in the mail were Viva Glam V & Ravishing. Going to be honest, I kinda see the hype. I loveeeeee the Viva Glam lipstick and Ravishing totally brightened up my face I almost looked like I was glowing! I’ve never owned a MAC lipstick, to be quite honest I only own one other MAC product which is an eyeshadow in sketch. But I haven’t had a bad product yet (3/3) lol. WAHOO. I use to think MAC was overly expensive and while it is somewhat for budget buyers like myself, its much LESS expensive compared to many high end brands. So lets say it again… WAHOO! lol Here are a few photos I took yesterday afternoon: —————————–…
So I got the latest Lush times in the mail the other day and finally got around to reading it today. As I’m flipping through (p. 42-43 for anyone who gets the paper) I read about these bars, and at first I just scanned the page the bottom of the first page caught my eye because the color of the characters hair was different. I was like WAIT A MINUTE lol… So basically what these bars are, are temporary hair color treatments that are non-damaging. Considering I never dye my hair (short of that one time in high school where i attempted to have my bangs dyed….electric blue. No judgement lol) I had never heard this before and my mother always uses those box dye jobs when she does her hair. So I’d totally give this a try if I didn’t love my hair color but I think it’s fun…
Going to be entirely honest, I do NOT know what I was doing when I took the swatches of this color and I sadly did not do it justice. I will however be using this color again in some nail art that I’ll do so hopefully it will do it better justice. On all of my nails I wore Hit’s Artemis which is a silver holographic nail polish and super adorable. It looks A-freaking-mazing in the day light. I had a number of people either tell me they liked it or stared at it when I had this color on. I am eager to put it on again but since I force myself to wear a polish for about a week (helps me see how long it will last) I haven’t quite been able to make it back to this polish yet. HOPEFULLY it will be sooner then later. I think Holographic…
So on Friday I wore this look to Philly’s Toss your cap event which included many colleges and universities in the area and a small select group from each school to represent the school and “Toss your cap” with the Mayor. But Beyond that I had taken a photo of my makeup the first time I did it which was Thursday to see if I would wear it the following day. The image to the left is the Thursday makeup, (I think Friday looked a little better the blue was smaller and more vivid) But since I haven’t posted a Face of the Day in a while I decided I would post this one. I have been reading many of the suggestions people have made on the contest and will be incorporating some of those into my blog. 🙂 Primarily what I used for this look was a lot of Urban Decay…
So I ordered this polish off Etsy.com because they seem to have some pretty cool independent nail polish sellers and this quite honestly was the cheapest to try out at $4.00 for the mini bottle. Just as the description on the website says a very opaque golden yellow with fine black glitter that dries to a somewhat bumpy finish. I thought the name was equally as cute and I wore this for my Graduation. The only thing I’d say is I wish the black was just a tad bit bigger and noticeable because I can barely notice it at all on my nails. But the color is still adorable. I applied two coats of Paint Box Polish in Hufflepuff and one coat of Milani top coat.
A little bit of IRL and the reason why I have been struggling to remain active these last few week. On Saturday I graduated from College. This is from the Community College of Philadelphia, which has over 17,000 students and which of those 17,000 > 2,000 of us graduated. Yes, they called 2,000 names individually. It was very nice but at the same time, I do plan on graduating with my bachelors so I kind of hope the next school I go to either has a small class or graduates everyone at once lol. We were there from 9:00AM – 2:00PM and I was hungryyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Anyway, they did a lovely job, everyone was very happy, the students were all pretty much pleasant. My family came, or well my families, My mother came with my stepfather and my mom-mom, my father came with my step-mother, half sisters and my uncle and then my…
So this month is more of odds and ends I think. First love is the Clean & Clear advantage acne spot treatment, I’ve been having some small break outs on my cheek for some reason but this gets rid of them fairly quickly I’ve had it for a while though, the thought of wasting almost an entire tube is terrible if I chuck it. Next is Trident Layers gum, I still prefer the mint one but this one smells so amazing even just in my bag lol. E.L.F. super glossy lip shine in watermelon which looks great on its own but I sometimes pair it with my NYX lipstick in FIG. Two polishes that I’ve been loving are China Glaze’s Dress Me Up and Hits’Artemis which is a holographic nail polish. Next piece is actually my pocket mirror which has LED lights around the mirror. (shopglitzyglam.com) Purchased probably back in…
You know what I always wonder, how much more money do we pay for these added features that they put on some products. I purchased my first Milani baked blush in Corallina (almost $7, Walmart). What made me think about this is the fact that I also have a L’Oreal blush which came the same way. Personally I never use these little brushes they come with and I can’t remember if I’ve ever even used the mirror that comes with it. Does anyone know how much extra these hike the price up from manufacturing or do you prefer using its that have a mirror and applicator with it? As far as the color it is very pretty, the consistency is good but I don’t particularly like the fact that it looks like there is glitter or sparkle stuff in the blush. I haven’t worn it yet so I’m not sure…
Today we are looking at a polish by Hit in the Mari Moon Modern Set which is a green multi-chromatic polish. I purchased it through Ninja Polish [here] at $7.00. This was my first purchase through the website and once it was shipped it was quite fast. This polish brightened up this dark cold and gloomy day for me with its vivid fun color. I’m not sure about the longevity of the product since I just received it today but if anyone is interested I can let you know next week. Had I known I was going to like this polish so much I would have purchased one of the sets. There are also different shades and tones and the purple looked just as lovely! In the bottle it looks more blue then green but looks more green in these photos, perhaps its the roundness of the container since it is a…
Just a word to the wise, I took a lot of photos! 😀 So I actually got some of this stuff a few weeks ago and kept putting off the post for one reason or another but this shirt I actually had on in one of my videos. I love this mint color for spring, not short of the fact that Green and Teal in general are my favorite colors. But anyway, I got this at Forever 21+, we have one at Franklin Mills in Philadelphia. The price of the shirt if I recall was between $15-$20. The only problem I have with it is that it needs to be hand washed but hey, I’ll suffer for this shirt because it’s one of my new favorite pieces of clothing. The next lovely item that I got was new shoes! Now I’m strange and I never liked open toe shoes but…
