So this is probably my most random blog entry but… have you ever had freeze dried ice cream? For some reason I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it. But I can count on my one hand the times I’ve had some. Twice from the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., twice from The Franklin institute in Philadelphia, and now once from the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Perhaps I like it so much because I associate it with these places and childhood who knows. I bought THREE of them when we went to New York City. It took me almost a week to finish them because I was trying to not eat it all at once lol. Each package is one serving of ice cream and for all three I paid $10. But why am I posting this? Because if you go to a museum that has any space type stuff you should see if they have…
This is the first Soap box that fortune cookie has launched and personally I think it was very successful. There were only 100 boxes (99 on the night of) that were available to subscribe for. Within less then 15 minutes probably it was completely sold out. There was an issue with the packaging they needed to order more or were waiting for the shipment of the smaller containers however it was only a few days and they gave you the option of having them put in other containers and shipped out to you. It took at most 3 business days for me to get my Soap Box and I literately made about 4 videos before the finally one that I figured out my camera and was able to work with my Movie Maker. The only problem I had was the fizzy I think should have been put in a bag or a…
So at the last minute on Friday while I was at work. (I work at the college I attend in the student life) I was offered free tickets to New York to see Wicked the following day. Which just so happened to be Saint Patrick’s Day! Absolutely CRAZY! Apparently people cancelled so we had extra tickets that were not sold. Regardless I got to go to New York (I had just been there the weekend before for the first time for my birthday) for the second time in a week. So of course I wanted to get my green on. I painted my nails green using the China Glaze nail polish in Agro and then decided I wanted to up it with China Glaze’s Luxe and Lush. I’m still wearing it today because I absolutely love the way it looks. Unfortunately it is more of a fall look but…
So I decided to post a video while I created my new Brush holder. I’ve been using my brush roll and quite honestly I don’t think that I want to keep all of the brushes in there especially since I keep accumulating more brushes. The Items I used were all from A.C. Moore which includes: The Glass or container of your choice rub on decals which can be used on any hard surface popsicle stick, fingernail, coin anything that you can press or rub these decals off and onto the surface of your container some type of filler (look for fake floral arrangement fillers in bead form) siccors, knife or box cutter Optional: Tape Be sure that your glass is clean of any debris. Cut out the desired decal. (Be sure to read the packaging instructions first as some may differ) remove the plastic when you have decided to place the decal into place. You…
Okay so I happened to win the whole set (You have no idea how crazy happy I was lol) from VampyVarnish.com. I recieved them on Tuesday, shipped from China Glaze, and did a youtube video yesterday however, when I went to edit it today I had yet again the same issues with the video. I will attempt (hopefully) to shoot another one today and if it works I will add it to this blog post 🙂 and now for the swatch fest…. So recently, I’ve gotten quite a few things here I will just share a few. I may do a video soon when I can manage to figure out why my camera keeps distorting the image 🙁 Anyway so recently, I went to the Cherry Hill Mall (my new favorite mall by the way!). Which I was excited because they have quite a few stores that I absolutely love. (Even if their Forever 21 doesn’t carry the + collection.) I paid a visit to Sephora and this is the first time I’ve EVER bought anything there because the one down town here is always soooooooooooo packed I never want to stay there too long. I’m always money conscious so I only bought sample versions of products this time around. I’m in LOVE with the tarte blush but I knew I would be. It’s a very beautiful as long as you don’t use too much.…
Yeah, I’m a book worm. So on a totally unrelated topic from beauty. I read these books, The Hunger Games Trilogy last weekend. The books are a quick, fun read I decided to read one a day. I even read them through my excessively hectic schedule that was last week. I’ve seen these books for a long time in bookstores but the front of the book never enticed me to read it. I simply thought it was some real life survival book. Which to be totally honest I don’t tend to lean towards those types of books. However, pure fantasy these books are awesome. I can’t believe it took until me seeing the trailer to realize what these books are but hey, better late then never I suppose. So if you are a big reader and are looking for something different to read I would recommend these to you. There’s…
I mean seriously, who makes a blog post about earrings? Yeah This girl. So in recent months I’ve gotten some earrings. Typically I only wear or wore gold/white gold earrings because of some skin reactions (like what does my skin not react negatively to lol.) But I’ve found out recently that now I can wear pretty much any kind of earrings. So A few months ago a friend of mine bought me a cute pair of earrings off of South Street. Mind you these were not my typical earrings but they are very pretty on. I like to refer to them as my alien earrings lol. The lady that works there was actually seriously nice, and the jewelry was kinda cool if you like things that are a little different. I probably would have never thought to walk in there on my own accord. But after this I saw a pair of…
I briefly looked into what the beauty industry is doing about animal testing about a year and a half ago. Then for whatever reason I didn’t look again. Recently I looked up on a personal blog and saw some company names on there that shocked me. So I think it is time for a serious post. Almost all of the skincare products that I use, almost all of them are on the bad list. Companies like Dove. Aveeno and Neutrogena. I almost had a heart-attack. While the majority of my makeup is cruelty-free a few things like my L’Oreal foundation that I never use or my Maybelline eye studio master drama liner that I absolutely love and use quite often are on the list. I’ve heard some things about other inexpensive products that are cruelty-free. It amazes me that so many of these products still are on the list. Hopefully…
Probably my lease knowledgeable topic. To be completely honest I don’t really use foundation often. Once in a while I will, if it is a special occasion. But all in all I don’t really have dark spots or acne issues. I do however have very dry skin so if I was to wear foundation on a regular basis at this point with not knowing a lot about foundations it would not pan out well. For all of the items in the photos my most used would be my BB Cream second would be the Revlon Photoready which I really only use when I know there will be a lot of pictures being taken. I have not used my Loreal mineral makeup in quite a while, I just suppose I enjoyed the BB Cream more. As far as the packaging for that you can tell it could possibly be a reason for not…
