Let’s be honest, in the last year or so I’ve become a little obsessive with scarves. To me scarves are a perfect accessory since many days I just wear jeans and a t-shirt. Now what’s the hardest possession for me to give up? My books, I have two book cases in my teeny, tiny room and I refuse to get rid of my books even though it would save me so much space. So what do I come across while searching on one of my favorite websites Etsy.com? A store that MAKES customized scarves of book quotes……. Oh yes I am in love. StoriArts is based out of Portland, Oregon and own the rights to be the only company who makes these types of innovative scarves for fellow book lovers. The items run anywhere from $26 – $45 depending on the type of item you are looking to get. Some…

I’ve had a number of people ask me about the ceramic white owl that is on my desk. It’s actually a wax burner. I purchased the brand better homes from walmart, the Owl Scented Wax Warmer (large sized) for $15.00 USD and the bulb is included. Practically every time I go into Walmart now I walk past the fragrance cubes and have to stop to pick up one more. I’m surprised at how many times I can reuse these cubes and it comes with six cubes to a package. The packs are $2.00USD a piece. I usually only user the burner once a week or every other week and the fragrance cube has lasted since I purchased the owl. To be entirely honest, I’m actually going to throw away the wax scent this week simply because I want to try a new smell. The candied caramel apple one initially filled…

So I attempted my first half-moon design when my boyfriend got me the Revlon Nail Art (Expressionist) in Silhouette. What I used: Milani Top Coat E.L.F. Base Coat Both colors of Silhouette Paper ring binder stickers I LOVE this set of polish. The metallic color has a smaller brush and the more nude shade has a normal size brush. Both colors dried quite quickly though the metallic color dried in a matter of a few minutes. This is great when you are doing nail art because you don’t have to wait a long time in between coats. It lasted almost 7 days without a single chip. I did not use a fancy top coat, I used the exact same Milani top coat that I always use. The cost of the polish was $6.95 which you are getting two quickly drying shades that are in my opinion gorgeous and work appropriate. While my first time came…

First I would like to discuss the price because as a general bargain shopper that I am, I always either look for sales or products that are inexpensive with great reviews or recommendations. These palettes run for $8.95on the CoastalScents.com website and let’s be honest, we know we can get them cheaper because Coastal Scents practically always has an awesome sale. (Best Time to buy? Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales of course… Oh and the 4thof July sales are usually pretty good!) You get 12 dime size shadows for this price and the compact includes a large mirror. A cute aspect is that each palette represents a different city. The quality of these shades depends on the individual palette. I only had a problem with one or two of the shades and I believe that was due to glitter or what looks like glitter flaking the shadow off when…

Plus-sized Girls watch out, Torrid watch out! I found an amazing looking store Fashion to Figure(fashiontofigure.com) while walking through the Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey. This is a retain chain from New York down to Maryland. Specializing in styles from 12-26. If you love vintage styled clothing you will adore this store just as I did. I am a pretty simple girl I don’t like lots of fabrics and crazy colors and I feel like this place has a little bit for everyone and even professional clothes you can wear to work for a reasonable price. The great thing is you can even purchase off of their website so if you are not in the states where the retail stores are you are still able to get your hands on the goods! Here are a few of the items I want from the store: Have it all stretch dress…

So for my birthday week/ Spring Break week I went down to florida for Phillies Spring Training which was amazing. I had lunch and dinner with family on my birthday and I got to go see Oz with my friend and my boyfriend. I had a amazing week and this photo is from Opening day for Oz the Great and Powerful. The colors used for this were: Urban Decay : Skimp(inner corner and brow),Baked (lid), Bender (crease and blended upward)and Cobra (crease). The Balm : runaround rebecca (top of crease color) I had a Christening on St. Patty’s Day so I decided against bright eye makeup but what did you do on St. Patty’s Day? Did you wear green or is it just another day for you? Personally I wear green almost every day, it’s my favorite color! If you haven’t seen the movie you really should check it out,…

Now don’t get me wrong I love inexpensive shoes. I don’t however enjoy cheaply made shoes. This is a problem I have with Payless. I spent most of my childhood wearing shoes from here, (mostly summer shoes) Payless use to be an affordable way to get somewhat nice shoes but without breaking the bank. Now however, I feel like the majority of their shoes haven’t changed in quality but they have upped the price of most of their shoes. It’s practically to the point that I can almost go out and find better made, or designer shoes at an outlet or discount store that are around the same price or in some cases cheaper than Payless. What has astonished me is the prices keep going up and yet the customers still keep rolling in. That being said on occasion you can find a nice deal and a nice pair of shoes in the same…

So many of us know about ELF and the hits or misses you can get with them. I love that they are constantly putting out new products and some can be dupes for big brand names at a cost of merely $1 to $5 dollars a pop depending on which line its in. Relatively recently E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) has decided to jump on the jumbo pencil bandwagon. The particular one I chose I’m quite happy with since after I ordered it I found out some of the pencils have glitter in them the shade is Pink Umbrella and it is a creamy consistency.  You can purchase them at the ELF website here. For just $2 dollars you get this flush pink colored pencil which in my opinion is very much like a lipstick needing to apply it similarly as often. As you know I have very pale skin and this color,…

So if you haven’t heard Disney is releasing a movie by the name of Oz the Great and Powerful and clearly in the title you can tell what its about and boy am I excited. To make it even better Urban Decay and OPI have released Oz collections! The movie is released one day before my birthday on March 8th. It was originally going to be on my birthday but personally I think this works out better for me! The Urban Decay palettes (here) are GORGEOUS at $49 a pop including the lip product. I personally am dying to get my hands on the Theodora palette all the colors I use regularly or well similar colors. The Glinda palette has more fun and innocent colors. The packaging looks amazing and the great thing is it looks like they are the pop out pans that you can put any color in…
