This is the start of my 4 part mini-series of influenster product reviews. #SunVoxBox if you want to chat on twitter about it! This item has been sent to me for review. The purpose of these ribbon elastics is to not only be functional for hair but to also look stylish on your wrist which is where most women wear their elastics why they take their hair down or plan to put their hair up later. I can absolutely say these works for my hair. I have curly hair and it holds my pony tail and buns in perfectly. It practically doesn’t even feel like there is something in your hair holding it up which is a huge plus. Wear on the item is about the same as regular elastic. I think the ribbon aspect is cute especially for young girls who want to feel fashionable. The downside in…
For my birthday I got the Lorac Pro Palette. Now there are quite a number of neutral eyeshadow palettes out there now and the one issue I always have with inspecting them is that they have too many shimmery, glittery etc. Type shadows. I wanted to see matte every day eye shadows and the Lorac Pro Palette is actually the perfect blend of both. I feel like many of the colors can be used with cooler or warmer shades to complete a look. This is definitely one palette that I could take on a trip and not need any other shades at all. Perfect transition shades, covers night time looks as well as day. It has a matte black which I always find important to top liner. Natural Look with Neutral Palette The consistency of the shadows is great but the texture is very strange to me as I am…
A week or two ago I received this Ivory 2IN1 Hair and body wash in the mail from Influenster.com. Now I’m always skeptical of 2IN1’s but overall Ivory performed higher than I expected. I would like to make one point Ivory claims to be a 2 in 1 meaning both hair and body. It also however, makes a claim that it is conditioning for the hair as well which I completely disagree. My hair is drier after using it than would be the case with just using a shampoo. This I expect with 2 in 1’s and this is exactly what I expected from Ivory. However, because there IS conditioner in the bottle it conditioned my skin which is in general pretty dry. So that was a win in my book. I also like that there isn’t much of a smell and it sort of reminds me of the smell of some…
I’ve had a number of people ask me about the ceramic white owl that is on my desk. It’s actually a wax burner. I purchased the brand better homes from walmart, the Owl Scented Wax Warmer (large sized) for $15.00 USD and the bulb is included. Practically every time I go into Walmart now I walk past the fragrance cubes and have to stop to pick up one more. I’m surprised at how many times I can reuse these cubes and it comes with six cubes to a package. The packs are $2.00USD a piece. I usually only user the burner once a week or every other week and the fragrance cube has lasted since I purchased the owl. To be entirely honest, I’m actually going to throw away the wax scent this week simply because I want to try a new smell. The candied caramel apple one initially filled…
First I would like to discuss the price because as a general bargain shopper that I am, I always either look for sales or products that are inexpensive with great reviews or recommendations. These palettes run for $8.95on the CoastalScents.com website and let’s be honest, we know we can get them cheaper because Coastal Scents practically always has an awesome sale. (Best Time to buy? Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales of course… Oh and the 4thof July sales are usually pretty good!) You get 12 dime size shadows for this price and the compact includes a large mirror. A cute aspect is that each palette represents a different city. The quality of these shades depends on the individual palette. I only had a problem with one or two of the shades and I believe that was due to glitter or what looks like glitter flaking the shadow off when…
So many of us know about ELF and the hits or misses you can get with them. I love that they are constantly putting out new products and some can be dupes for big brand names at a cost of merely $1 to $5 dollars a pop depending on which line its in. Relatively recently E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) has decided to jump on the jumbo pencil bandwagon. The particular one I chose I’m quite happy with since after I ordered it I found out some of the pencils have glitter in them the shade is Pink Umbrella and it is a creamy consistency. You can purchase them at the ELF website here. For just $2 dollars you get this flush pink colored pencil which in my opinion is very much like a lipstick needing to apply it similarly as often. As you know I have very pale skin and this color,…
So in April, I purchased the Mrs. Bunny Travel Collection. All the brushes that I wanted were in the travel size and hey if I can save some money by purchasing the travel size then so be it lol. Upon arrival it of course had lovely packaging and each individual brush was packaged inside of the container itself so they wouldn’t get messed up which I love, shows me they care about their product. I’ve washed all of these and not one of them lost hairs which I thought was awesome. All of the brushes have the sigmax HD fibers. They are as soft as can be, remind me of a Revlon brush at the super store, which reminds me I still need to get that brush haha. This collection includes: E30 Pencil Brush E40 Tapered Blending Brush E55 Eye Shading Brush E65 Small Angle Brush F30 Large Powder Brush F40 Large Angled Contour…
So a little over a month ago I received my samples from Virus Insanity. All of the samples that I purchased were duo-chromatic and they have quite a good selection. I had 5 samples, I tried to get a variety of colors but I mostly picked cool tones ones. I honestly can’t remember if I had picked a collection or individual shadows. Their names are: Bad Luck – Lavender color with a blueish-greenish-pinkish reflex Black Cat- plum/navy with purple reflex 13- Light, Soft Pink with silvery-white reflex Step on a Crack – Green with a gold reflex Incubus – Navy Blue with a lighter blue reflex and maybe a hint of something else I think the color that I like most applied on my arm was Bad Luck but for whatever reason I haven’t gotten it to apply very pigmented yet. All of the other colors apply wonderfully especially the darker colors. The sample sizes run at…
Well firstly, this review is for people with Dry skin or who may get Dry skin in the colder months as this product can be too much for any other skin types. This is one of my very first purchases from The Body Shop, and the reason why I keep going back. A little back story, for years I suffered from overly dry flaky skin, most noticeably on my face. I always hated facial moisturizers because I would have to put them on a number of times for it even to moisturize my skin. With this product I only have to apply it once (usually right after my shower) soaks right into my skin leaving it feeling baby soft. I have been using this product since late January early February and just last week went and repurchased (even though i’m STILL not finished the last container, but just about) I am totally a believer…
