Flatter your Curves by knowing your body shape

I reach out to all of my curvy readers and emphasis on needing to know your body shape. I’m not telling you WHAT you NEED to wear because everyone is entitled to dress to their style and their creativity but knowing your body shape is half the battle to finding clothes that truly flatter your curves and now that Clinton and Stacy’s What Not To Wear is over we need to fend for ourselves! First and foremost I found this awesome site, Channel 4 (4beauty) where you can just plug in information about your body in the body shapefinder and it will output your body shape. Nifty right? Perfect coat for a cold Halloween

Yesterday my family and I went to the “Boo at the Zoo” here in Philadelphia and I finally got a picture snapped of my new fashion to figure coat! I had some jeans and sneakers (it was just too cold for shoes and I don’t own boots yet) on for the long walk at the zoo but I had a chiffon shirt on with polka dots trimming and bow in the center to go with my Minnie Mouse theme and a mickey scarf that I bought last year in Disney world along with my mouse ears. I love how the coat gets longer towards the back. The boyfriend claims he was a field mouse since he is from the country, and we didn’t realize we forgot our face paint until we got there! A Happy, Halloween visit to Linvilla Orchards featuring OOTD

Linvilla Orchards is one of my favorite places to visit in the fall. If you are in the tri-state area I highly recommend a visit if you are a fall loving person. This year they also had a much larger selection for terrarium set ups which is a hot DIY currently, and a personal favorite of mine! The terrarium set ups, planters and plants are, for the most part cheaper than getting them from your local shop, Lowes or home depot in the city. (If you’ve found a cheaper place please let me know!) We normally go during the week when no one is there, this time we went on the weekend and it was by far the busiest I’ve ever seen it (Could those ads on I95 have something to do with it? Maybe.) Fashion Show Curvy Closets Full Figured Charity 2013

Earlier this month I had the pleasure to attend the curvy closets fashion show in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. The fashion show showcased absolutely stunning clothing for every size and as I missed this year’s Full Figured Fashion week I was excited to still check out some fall fashion and to see the debut of Allison McGevna’s new line TwentyFour20. Some of the designers included BellaNOR boutique, Kiyonna, Elocin, and Sean Anthony Designs. Below are my top favorite styles from the night. Nanshy 7 piece eye brush set Review with comparison (Sigma, E.L.F. & Crown Brushes)

First I just want to throw this out here. I am IN LOVE with these brushes. I think they are amazing. In this review I’m going to tell you why I’m raving about these brushes that were sent to me for review! Initially I was unimpressed by the packaging. It looked very cheap, not packaging you would expect $44 dollars’ worth of product to come in, but not all companies go crazy with the packaging. It is just relatively plain black packaging with a plastic insert to keep the brushes in their spot. I mean 90% of the time you are going to toss the packaging. However, 80% of the time when I’m in stores, I will choose a product at the same price range over another based on its visual appeal, a little food for thought. Super Hero Inspired Super Playboy Fragrance Launch for Him and Her

I always enjoy a nice perfume and I’ll be honest, I am a geek and happy about it. So when I was contacted to try out the new Super Playboy fragrances I was pretty stoked. The fragrances are inspired by superheroes and alter egos. I am a sucker for all geek inspired series. Although superheroes are much more mainstream than they use to be. Our first interview is with the lovely creators and finders of vintage treasures at {Pioneer Vintage Co.} a phenomenal local etsy seller. 1. How did you come up with your shop name? The name is based on Michele’s favorite poem, “Pioneers, O’ Pioneers” by Walt Whitman. 2. What inspires you when creating or choosing an item for your shop? We are inspired by the idea of bringing new life to past trends. We’re able to do this by finding vintage treasures and also by putting our own spin on our favorite past trends with our handmade items. Disney Villains of 2013 Collaboration; ELF Look Books Maleficent & Ursula

Between the two of these you may be covered for your eye makeup through all the seasons. Transition colors and a highlight would be the only addition I would suggest. These were purchased for me by my lovely boyfriend who knows my Disney obsession. I received two palettes and the nail polish set which will be shown in a different post. These sets are nice for beginners as well since you receive mascara, eye liners, primer and an eye shadow brush. Plus the six eye shadows and the lip gloss. Additionally each palette tells you how to accomplish a day and night look. Plus lets be real, the packaging is absolutely adorable. The eye shadow consistency is very nice. They were all about the same consistency and opacity. The lip gloss is pretty pigmented but I would suggest using it over a liner or lipstick to help staying power. The…
