I really love this group of items because I feel like for $25 someone who does not know much about lip products could find a few gems as well as find out what type of lip products they enjoy from lip tints to liquid lipstick and all the lippy love in between. Each has varying formulas from moisturizing, slight tackiness, to more traditional lipstick formulas. With this package you could have a shade for every season. Sephora Collection – 2mL – Rouge infusion the neutrals in 19 – Peony Smells like candy. This was probably the most confusing shade for me. The labeled color is actually very similar to the application shade except the shade on the container looks crème and the shade when you apply has a pink undertone/shine. However when you open the container, it looks as if you are about to apply the shade fuchsia. Also I…

May it be tacky or not sometimes I need to experiment with color at the extremes and this was such a day. I did a gradient lip with my interpretation of the night sky/galaxy style eye. I used a combination of coastal scents and sleek makeup. Kat Von D lipstick in bachlorette for the base lip color with a mixture of orange and yellow shadows with clear lip gloss for the gradient effect.

Hey all! I bring you my review, or rather rave, about the Kat Von D mini lip set that I found at Sephora. Firstly the application of the lipsticks is smooth. You don’t have to work for your lip color, the set is very pigmented. Almost all of the shades are very bold and fun. I paid $39 for the set and it was well worth it! The packaging feels a bit cheaper only because it is plastic but it is super cute, studded and I haven’t had any issues with closing. The cap fits snug. My only bad comment really is that if you have dry skin such as I do be ABSOLUTELY sure to prep your pout first and be aware that any oils you may place on your lips will of course break down your lipstick faster than normal. I will be going back to get a…

So at some point during this summer, in the midst of all of the school work, training and immense amount of projects and homework I was able to find some time to do something other than work. We decided to go to Longwood which I’ve been dying to do since the last time I went! If you’ve never been and you’re in the tri-state area you really should check it out. Longwood is a great place for nature, garden, and architecture lovers. Even some good stuff for music and history buffs! It’s not very far outside of Philadelphia, located in Kennett Square, PA. I thought it was pretty cool that they also hold various classes throughout the year from Photography to arrangements and many fun things in between and for all ages! Below are some of the photos (and I took entirely too many so bear with me) I…

I was recently approached to try out a teeth whitening product by Smile Brilliant. Now a few things to keep in mind, I haven’t had my teeth professionally whitened since I was about 13 years old. My teeth are not naturally white. I was told they are naturally ivory when I was young which means they can never be stark white (to my dismay). Also be aware that I am still gradually using this product, until quite honestly I stop seeing improvements. One pen lasts 5 to 8 applications (4 ml of 22% carbamide peroxide bleaching gel) and I’ve opted for longer application times (2 1/2 hours). The results are truly brilliant. I didn’t realize how yellow my smile had really become, considering I am not a smoker or coffee drinker but after just the first application I saw a drastic difference in my smile. I would absolutely recommend this…

So I’m pretty darn sure it’s been a few years since I last shared my skincare routine (face) and to be honest it usually doesn’t change much but for some reason the last month or so I’ve been breaking out like crazy. (I’ve had pretty good skin my whole life and I’m freaking out) There is one product missing from this and that is my BodyShop Tea Tree oil. I feel like the Tea Tree oil stops the blemish in its tracks and minimizes it. While the Clean and Clear spot treatment does the deep dirty work. Both work wonderfully on my sensitive, dry skin (Although I really don’t like the smell of the Tea Tree oil). Depending on the day I switch between the Pore refining cleaner and the facial scrub. They both have their unique perks but I have to be super careful about over-drying, over-stripping my skin…

You can view an in-depth description of the products over at my article on FeedMink.com! Some of my favorite products are the multi-purpose blush, the lipgloss, gray shadows, purple shadow and the epic dry oil spray with SPF that I can use for my hair in the summer. I can’t stress the pain of getting sunburn on your scalp and worse have you ever tried putting gross sunblock on your scalp… in your hair… it just isn’t a pretty sight to see. The dry oil spray also smells fantastic. I’m loving the coral themed in pair/contrast with the eyeshadow quad. It gives a sheer natural look on the skin that can be built up to intensity by layering the blush/lipstick/gloss and applying the shadow wet. There is also some anti-aging skincare products in this line that you’ll see in a future post or two. (I’m 26 so now is the…

The average woman applies as many as 515 chemicals in her daily grooming and makeup routine which can potentially be harmful to humans, animals and the environment. Psst, nail polish is one of the worst! (Opt for a water-based version like HoneyBeeGardens) We have to remember that our skin is an organ and to protect it we must be aware of the products we are applying to it. The most obvious one, purchase less. The less of a carbon foot-print you have the better.Another pretty simple one, purchase recyclable product packaging. Check for the three arrow recycling symbolCreate home-made beauty remedy products to supplement some of the ones you use to purchase (nice on the bank too!) There are a number of benefits to this including knowing exactly what is going into your product and using your own reusable containers to cut down on disposable packaging.Opt for products from companies…
