We’re all a little eco-conscious now that Earth day has recently passed so let’s apply this into our gift giving a little. Buying gorgeous gifts that are also made from recycled material can be a fantastic way to sustain the environment and still appease our gift giving hearts.
1. Here’s a gift that I purchased for my own country loving, mason jar obsessed mother:
Over at Willow Stained Glass shop you’ll find some gorgeous blue mason jars flattened down. You can use it for a variety of thins like a spoon rest, change holder, votive holder, soap dish, butter server and the list goes on. At $12 this recycled gift could be talk of the table.
2. If mom is a cosmetic loving gal you should definitely check out Tarte Cosmetics. You should be able to find them at your local department store or online at tartecosmetics.com their products are not only amazing, but very eco-friendly using clay.
3. If mom is a wine lover, go Organic this year. Look for the USDA certified “100% Organic” label. Check your local store or give a visit to theorganicwinecompany.com
4. Let mom pamper her skin with this eco-friendly, natural sugar scrub set from Becca and Mars only $17 for two jars and you get to pick from 17 different scents!
5. For the Jewelry loving mom, my favorite ethical, high quality and eco-conscious company BrilliantEarth is a great place to go if you don’t mind shelling out the big bucks for mom this year. You could also search eco-friendly jewelry on etsy.com to find some local or smaller companies who create master pieces out of recyclable materials for fantastic prices.
6. Let’s not forget the card! Over at One Sharpened Pencil’s shop you’ll find a very humor, very gorgeously made card for Mom this mother’s day. If you’re mom loves good humor this silly card might be the perfect pick for you. It costs just $4.50 and is made from 100% recycled materials.
Always remember you could always name a star after her, create a herb or vegetable garden or many other eco-friendly things in her name as well. Sometimes charitable gifts can be the best.
