The purpose of these ribbon elastics is to not only be functional for hair but to also look stylish on your wrist which is where most women wear their elastics why they take their hair down or plan to put their hair up later. I can absolutely say these works for my hair. I have curly hair and it holds my pony tail and buns in perfectly.
